Diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis Message from Lacie's parents, Gary & BeckyOur precious daughter, Lacie is twelve years old and is one of the 100,000 people in the United States that has Neurofibromatosis (NF). Neurofibromatosis is a set of disorders which cause tumors under the skin and along peripheral nerves, curvature of the spine, tumors on the optic nerves that cause blindness, tumors on the brain or spinal cord, seizures and learning disabilities. Neurofibromatosis is more prevalent than cystic fibrosis and muscular dystrophy. Unfortunately, Lacie has many of the above disorders. Currently, there is no known cure for NF. However, our faith in God, hope in our hearts, and with your help...we can continue to fund research that may lead to better treatment and a cure in the future.
